to the Solar Industries Association of Botswana !

The aim of the Solar Industries of Botswana (SIAB) is to facilitate the wide-scale use of solar energy in Botswana. Main objectives are to disseminate knowledge and information, foster high standards and promote high ethics in business dealings.

SIAB will play an important role in promoting and protecting the interests of the solar industry and provides a co-ordinated voice to represent this industry. Further, SIAB will maintain a list of approved designers, manufacturers, suppliers and installers of solar systems and equipment in order to improve on the reliability of solar systems that are installed.

In addition SIAB will monitor development of appropriate technical standards and testing procedures and will be involved in development of training. Where necessary SIAB will arbitrate between the solar industry and customers.

The formation of the Solar Industries Association of Botswana is an important step towards getting the best possible systems to customers and providing a high quality of service that is required for a sustainable solar industry.
